Feeling tired? Feeling drained and exhausted ? Many have been feeling this way for the last month, as if their body battery is being depleted and hard to replete. Here is my take on why this may be happening and what to do about it.

Apart from the changes of the constellation, the effects of the moon and the planets, something simpler is occurring right here on earth with our seasons. We have entered the 4th quarter of the year. Each of us is made up of light. But how can that be, one might ask, after all we look down and see flesh and blood, no light. At the very core of our being everything is a quantum particle emitting light. This body is an illusionary holographic image of who we are.

Our DNA is emitting light, our heart ( and all our organs) emit an electromagnetic field of different magnitudes. We each have a light quotient whose radiance is dependent on the control switch of the mind that keeps us at a lower intensity with our judgment, fears and doubts or at a high intensity with our certainty, gratitude, inspiration, enthusiasm, presence and unconditional love.

Now the season of fall, is reducing its light intensity and we head towards our winter months of darkness and even less light. So creatures like us who are light dependent are not receiving enough sustainable light from our environment, and so are asked to go within and illuminate the light within and shine that brighter. Turn the switch to an increased intensity through finding our inspiration, gratitude and love.

Another way to increase our light quotient is to spend the early sunrise hours basking in the rays of the first light. I make this morning ritual each day. Sun therapy ! I am up before dawn and I meditate as the sun rises. I watch the first rays, feel them entering my head, going down my whole body and fill my heart cup. I imagine the cup to be enormous. A little later after doing this exercise, when the light is flooding the window I immerse myself into the brightness energetically, absorbing it into my being, and filling my core. I visualize it then radiating from the pores of my heart and body towards everyone around and to all those I meet friends, family, patients, strangers, the earth and beyond.

Each of us are a channel of light. Winter is not a time to shut out the light or fear the increasing darkness but instead welcome the inner light and let it grow, sustaining us as we contemplate our lives and our future trajectories in the stillness of the darker days, and be ready to become supernovas when the spring time emerges.
